I love chocolate, but it’s rare that I’ve experienced euphoria through a candy bar. I’m not going to call out any specific candy bars, but here are some reasons why bars have let me down:
- The texture isn’t right
- There’s not a thick enough chocolate coating
- There’s a funny aftertaste
- It’s too sweet (especially if there’s high fructose corn syrup or invert sugar)
- The excessive chewy nougat hurts my teeth
- The layers don’t “flow,” so I find myself eating the chocolate coating first, and then there’s all this inner nonsense to contend with.
But friends, the earth has shifted… I have found pure nirvana, pure bliss… with the Milky Way fudge candy bar.
Have you ever experienced a moment where everything in the world was ok? If so, do you remember it? I don’t either. It’s usually very fleeting and rare… But with the Milky Way fudge bar, I experienced nirvana. Imagine a perfect brownie, but not a normal brownie from a box mix that has a slightly “off” aftertaste. This was a perfect brownie. Now, imagine that brownie drenched in caramel sauce. Now, coat the entire candy bar with perfect chocolate. Bliss.
Don’t eat the Milky Way fudge bar while you’re driving. Stop everything you’re doing and experience it. I ate bar #1 on the way home from a 4-hour mountain hike. I was driving, but I fell into such a trance that I was temporarily not the safest driver. My friend had to take the wheel! When I came too, another friend in the backseat was experiencing a similar bliss from his Gatorade… “Maybe it’s the hike that made it taste so good.” Nope! The next morning, the second candy bar was just as tasty, even after getting a bit smushed in my purse.
You must try one today! Though, they are hard to find. I’ve never seen them anywhere before. And I spend a lot of time walking around in gas station candy aisles.
In bliss, Sh’Bieue
